With a production capacity of 120 kg or 240 kg per hour, the DIP120 and DIP240 meet the needs of most independent in-house production, both for dry ice cleaning and cooling applications.
Smart engineering, with internal piping for the flow of liquid carbon dioxide, not only reduces production costs, benefiting our customers, but also increases efficiency and makes it possible to start producing dry ice pellets in less than 1 minute.
The pelletizer is operated via the touch panel, which also allows individual settings to optimize production capacity. An input/output menu enables a complete system check, including verification of the functionality of each valve and machine component.
In-house production of high-density dry ice pellets offers many advantages:
Important factors to consider when purchasing a dry ice pelletizer include not only keeping the initial capital investment as low as possible, but also choosing a machine built with well-known components and designed to minimize maintenance costs.
In addition to a durable 100% stainless steel structure, INTELBLAST pelletizers use components from Danfoss and Siemens, together with a high-performance hydraulic power unit. These are key components in the reliable operation of the machines.
When producing dry ice, the typical conversion rate is approximately 2.5 kg of liquid CO2 to produce 1 kg of dry ice.
Our specially designed liquid CO2 supply system to the press chamber can bring this conversion rate closer to 2.2 kg of liquid CO2 per 1 kg of dry ice. Achieving this efficiency also requires the LCO2 tank installation and supply piping from the tank to the pelletizer to be installed according to our guidelines.
It is important to emphasize that CO2 is not produced specifically for manufacturing dry ice. The CO2 used in dry ice production is generally obtained as a by-product of other processes, including ethanol, biomass and ammonia production, as well as from natural sources such as underground volcanic deposits. This makes dry ice an environmentally responsible solution for transportation, cooling and cleaning applications.
The stainless steel structure is designed so that the machine can easily be moved with a forklift, making regular cleaning around and underneath the machine much easier.
Large removable panels provide clear and spacious access to all components inside the pelletizer, helping make routine maintenance more efficient in terms of both time and cost.
Thanks to its compact footprint of only 110 x 70 cm, the machine requires very little floor space. In addition, the extended supply pipes at the front allow a dry ice container to be positioned centrally underneath the pelletizer, enabling even production without having to move the dry ice from side to side.
